(P100) CDCES Providers: Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of Hearing Impairment with Diabetes

The 2021 American Diabetes Association Standards of Care in Diabetes added hearing impairment as a microvascular complication. Unlike the other well-known complications such as retinopathy and nephropathy, the standards did not include comprehensive screening recommendations for hearing loss. This poster reviews a study to assess current knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding hearing impairment and screening referrals of people with diabetes by Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES) in the US using a cross-sectional survey created through Qualtrics.
