Women with a history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are a unique population with a very high risk of developing future Type 2 diabetes. The dietary education given to women after a diagnosis of GDM is critical for not only managing blood glucose levels in pregnancy but also for influencing dietary patterns for life-long health and disease prevention. This session reveals perceptions of the dietary education received by women with a recent history of GDM.
