The pediatric population is a dynamic community with ever-changing insulin needs. Automated insulin delivery systems may provide advantages for managing diabetes in this group. This session will discuss strategies for the use of AID technology with activities and life situations commonly experienced by toddlers, children, and youth. Topics will include different types of sports, toddler-specific challenges, school schedules, college, illness, adolescence, and the use of AID systems in the face of various psychosocial barriers. Attendees will learn different tactics through real case studies and then be able to apply their newfound skills during a Kahoot game with theoretical scenarios.
