The dual diagnosis of diabetes and an eating disorder presents unique challenges. Hypo- and hyperglycemia symptoms, fear of complications, and safety concerns that accompany shifts in glucose levels can be highly dysregulating. This session will explore diabetes care in the context of eating disorder recovery work and examine how CGM data can lend insight to both the person with diabetes and the care team. In addition, this session will touch on safety considerations, education, sociocultural factors that perpetuate eating disorders, and care team collaboration.
