How often do we find out too late that our DSMES encounters miss the mark? Whether it is vision or hearing impairment, intellectual developmental disabilities, low health literacy, physical disabilities, and more, participants face barriers that we may not be aware of. How can we better anticipate these challenges and create inclusive content that can be readily accessed differently? This session will explore insights from DSMES providers and evidence-based resources that can be applied across delivery models. Participants will also be guided through an exercise to raise awareness of their practices and opportunities to enhance their services.
