Care partners to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals can be deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing, necessitating unique strategies for education and support. This session will review research focused on care partners who support deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals living with diabetes. We used a care partner community board to identify ways to incorporate care partners into an existing diabetes self-management education and support program delivered in American Sign Language. We then examined the feasibility of this dyadic integration.
