People with diabetes experience diabetes stigma all too often and it negatively impacts their health and quality of life. This session focuses on the recommendations of the recently published international consensus statement titled “Bringing an end to diabetes stigma and discrimination: an international consensus statement on evidence and recommendations.” Presenters cover what diabetes stigma is, how it affects people, ways to implement the consensus statement in practice, and how attendees can join the movement to #EndDiabetesStigma.
