Families often have to manage diabetes while struggling to access diabetes supplies and technologies. This presentation delves into a dual initiative to increase access to diabetes technology and provide community and support to hard-to-reach families. Presenters discuss the repercussions of restricted smartphone access on diabetes management, leading to a proposed funded program to provide phones and adjunct devices in-house. Attendees will learn of interdisciplinary strategies to foster an accessible community, encompassing all families affected by diabetes, irrespective of their socioeconomic status, as well as brainstorm solutions to bridge divides, empowering every family grappling with the challenges of diabetes management.
