Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is defined as glucose intolerance that is diagnosed for the first-time during pregnancy. Women with a history of GDM are between 8 and 10 times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes. This poster reviews a study to evaluate whether women obtained periodic glycemic measurements for the prevention and early diagnosis of type 2 diabetes after the discovery of gestational diabetes.
