P214 - Do Prescribing Patterns of Anti-Diabetic Medications Differ by HIV Status in Persons with T2D?

There is an increasing global prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and a growing number of individuals living with both T2D and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This intersection of conditions raises questions about how they interact and influence clinical decision-making, particularly in prescribing anti-diabetic medications. This poster describes a study aimed to investigate if the patterns of prescribing anti-diabetic drugs among people with T2D differ based on their HIV status. The authors share insights from a cross-sectional analysis of electronic health records (EHR) data from individuals with T2D who are part of the All of Us research program.
