Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a common condition, affecting 2-10% of pregnancies in the United States each year. Individuals experiencing food insecurity are more likely to be diagnosed with GDM. This poster describes a pilot program in Georgia that tested a virtual nutrition education program combined with home-delivered medically tailored meals. Outcomes examined included improvement in food security, diabetes-related knowledge and self-efficacy, stress levels, and diet and lifestyle indicators.
