P525 - How Sweet It Is: Implementing Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Gestational Diabetes

The prevalence of Gestational Diabetes (GDM) is rising and contributes to increased maternal, fetal, and neonatal complications. Dexcom G7 and Freestyle Libre 2 & 3 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems are now FDA-approved for GDM. CGMs offer real-time feedback on how food and activity impact glucose levels and provide alerts to help prevent impending hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. This poster explores how one academic medical center aims to establish best practices for CGM utilization in GDM care. The authors review program development, implementation, and satisfaction with CGM and how CGM can empower people with GDM to help optimize pregnancy outcomes.
