P510 - Advocating for CGM Use at Diagnosis in Pediatrics Results in Better A1Cs

In response to a need to educate and break down barriers to the use of CGM for children and their families, diabetes nurse educators pioneered a transformative program to boost CGM adoption rates at diagnosis by offering sample devices. This poster reviews strategies for implementing hands-on training for device placement in personalized classes with interpreters, how to ensure seamless integration, and address insurance hurdles and reluctance on the part of the children or their families.
