Saturday, August 10, 2024
12:15 PM – 1:15 PM CT
Staying current with the latest clinical guidelines can be overwhelming, hindering the integration of new research into routine patient care. Generative AI holds the promise of transforming clinical practice. Using sophisticated algorithms and extensive datasets, AI can analyze intricate medical information effectively to deliver accurate and individualized clinical recommendations for managing chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes. This poster provides an overview of research into the application of generative AI in type 2 diabetes management. It compares the AI-generated recommendations vertically within 2 platforms and horizontally across the platforms and against a clinician’s decisions, assessing their reliability and potential impact on diabetes care and education. Attendees will gain insights into evaluating AI-generated clinical recommendations and the potential implications of integrating AI into routine clinical practice. Authors: Clipper F.
