P414 - Recognizing the Impact of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Education and Physical Activity

It is widely known that physical activity is recommended as both a preventative and therapeutic measure for treating diabetes. Appropriate continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) education can help individuals avoid extreme fluctuations (especially hypoglycemia) when exercising. This poster reviews the physiological benefits and fundamental principles of exercise and the overall value to people with diabetes. The author also identifies treatment strategies for managing glucose levels before, during, and after exercise and physical activity based on the interpretation of CGM data.
