P407 - Comparative Analysis of Patients and Clinicians' Perspectives on Concerns at T2D Diagnosis

Approximately 1.2 million Americans are diagnosed with diabetes annually, with 90-95% of these cases being type 2 diabetes (T2D). Early intervention and support are essential to prevent complications and enhance quality of life. The initial diagnosis of T2D is a critical period during which understanding and addressing the concerns of people with diabetes (PWDs) can significantly influence their health outcomes and commitment to treatment plans. This poster reviews the results of a study aimed to explore and compare the perspectives of PWDs and clinicians in the US on the concerns of those newly diagnosed with T2D through recorded interviews.
