P402 - Perceived Support from Diabetes Care Providers in Adults with T1D, Anxiety, and Depression

Anxiety and depression are prevalent among people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and mental health disorders often remain underdiagnosed. Past research has indicated that mental health support provided by diabetes healthcare professionals is insufficient. This poster reviews an observational study that surveyed adults with T1D in the T1D Exchange Online Registry to assess anxiety and depression, investigate perceptions of mental health support participants have received from their diabetes care providers, how participants would like to be supported, and if there is an unmet need for mental health support for people with T1D.
