P529 - A Diabetes and Insulin Management Platform with Glucommander App Improves Nursing Workflow Managing IV Insulin

Intravenous insulin is the cornerstone of management of hyperglycemia and hyperglycemia crises in the hospital. The standard processes often involve algorithms to follow, calculations, with complicated protocols, and risk for error. This poster describes how the Glucommander App, part of Glytec’s diabetes and insulin management platform via Cobas Pulse, is shown to reduce errors when compared to usual care in a controlled, simulated ICU environment.
