P507 - Virtual and Self-Guided Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System Onboarding: Real-World Outcomes by Training Type

Users new to the Omnipod 5 AID System can complete training and onboarding via personalized trainer-led education, virtually or in-person, or via online, self-guided training modules. This poster highlights a retrospective observational analysis of insulin delivery and continuous glucose monitoring data from Omnipod 5 users in the US with type 1 diabetes was conducted to evaluate outcomes by training type among people initiating the system. Results demonstrated that similar glycemic outcomes were achieved across training types for both pediatric and adult users, supporting the effectiveness of virtual and self-guided training for AID systems and expansion of these options to facilitate convenient and timely access to AID technology.
